Study Opportunities at ATTI Computer Education & Training.
You can be confident about you and your family obtaining professional training that meets both the local and international standards at ATTI.  ATTI is committed to aligning itself to the national initiatives regarding training and development strategies in the country. We are committed to delivering outcomes and modular based training and in addition, have made representations with the appropriate industry organizations to ensure fulfilling national and international standards set out by SAQA and Microsoft.

Payment Options

We understand that in these difficult economic times what a financial burden school fees can be for every parent. At ATTI we want to ensure that our courses are fairly priced and that we provide our parents with ease payment options with no extra interest. During the registration process, a payment contract will be issued to every learner where you can state the time of month that would best suit you for payment as well as the best method of payment.

Parents/Guardians/Sponsors/Learners can choose any of the following options for course payments:
Course Payment Options:

  • Direct cash payment can be made to ATTI
  • Debit Order
  • Bank Account Deposits
  • Cheques
  • Credit Card

Orientation Guide

On the commencement of any career course, all the ATTI staff are involved with the orientation of new registered learners.  This orientation period of welcome helps:

  • To facilitate a smooth transition from high school or work environment to a college environment
  • To provide a fun, interactive environment for new students to put them at ease
  • To enhance the new student’s potential growth and development in the classroom
  • To provide professional academic advise and assistance for all new students
  • To advise all new students of the policies, procedures, regulations, rights and responsibilities governing ATTI
  • To create a positive attitude amongst the new comers and their career choice and studies thereof
  • To increase student-faculty-administrative staff contact and interaction to create positive relations
  • To introduce the new students to all the staff members of ATTI

During this orientation, the students will receive:

  • Student Rulebook
  • Courses’ Timetable
  • Course material or books
  • Student Cards

Access to Staff

Learners and Parents have access to staff during normal office hours.  To see administration staff or lecturers contact the Front Offices Assistant at any ATTI branch and he/she will arrange the appointment.

Access to Study Progress of Student

Parents and Guardians are welcome to contact ATTI at anytime for a study progress report.  This report includes class attendance, exam results, practical results, project results, and outstanding exams or practicals.  Please feel free to contact the receptionist at Front Offices Assistant at any ATTI branch to request this report.  Please make sure you have the learner’s student number at hand for quick and easy reference if possible.

Certification

Certificates and transcripts are issued to learners of ATTI for the purpose and recognition of having achieved and met the required criteria for a particular course.

Learners can qualify to recieve certificates for any of the following courses or certification bodies based on the training centres affiliation and accreditation. This will differ from centre to centre and it is important that learners speak to an Academic Councellor at any ATTI branch if they are unclear about the certification process.

  • ATTI Attendance Certificate - This certificate is normally issued to learners that attended a short course at ATTI and learners are not assessed to test their skill level.
  • ATTI Short Course Certificate - This certificate is normally issued to learners that have been assesed against a specific course to determine their skill level. Learner need to score 50% or higher to recieve this certificate.
  • ATTI Skills Certificate - This certificate is normally issued to learners that have been assesed against a group of short courses that focuses on a specific skill or industry. Learner will be assessed against these short courses need to score 50% or higher torecieve this certificate.
  • International Certificates - Learners that wants to write the international exams must speak to their Academic Councellor to book their international exams. These exams are optional and normally not included in the course price. The exam fees are determined by the International Body and the pricing on these exams are based on the current exchange rate and can change at any time.
  • Unit Standard Certificate - All ATTI centres are accredited with ISETT Seta and the courses are aligned to SAQA Unit Standards. Speak to your Academic Councellor to determine which Unit Standards you can be assessed against. Training centres that is only accredited by ISETT Seta can only assess learners against registered unit standards providing they don't exceed 120 credits.
  • ATTI Attendance Certificate - This certificate is normally issued to learners that attended a short course at ATTI and learners are not assessed to test their skill level.

Certificates will be issued on the following conditions

  • The learner has completed all requirements, i.e. passed all subjects, handed in all projects and has no outstanding fees.
  • Should the learner not meet all the requirements at the end of their course/program, they will have a 3-month time period to meet all the requirements to receive their certificate.
  • Should the 3-month time period elapse, the learner will have to re-register for the course / program to obtain a certificate.

Graduation

  • A Graduation Ceremony will be held for learners who have successfully completed a course/program.
  • ATTI holds a graduation ceremony once a year towards the end of March.
  • Only learners who have completed all requirements, i.e. passed all subjects, handed in all projects and have no outstanding fees may participate in the ceremony.
  • Should the learner not meet all the requirements at the end of their course/program, they will have a 3-month time period (Jan – March) before the graduation to meet all the requirements.
  • Learners will be given information regarding the graduation ceremony during their studies and it is their responsibility to keep this information for the graduation.
  • It is the learners’ responsibility to ensure that ATTI has their correct contact details as well as correct Names, Surnames and ID numbers.
  • The graduation ceremony is semi-formal occasion.  Should the learner want to use a Toga during the graduation ceremony, it is their responsibility to hire their own.  A Toga will be provided by ATTI for photos ONLY.
  • A photographer will be provided for the graduation and it is the learners responsibility for direct payment to the photographer for requested photos.

Responsibilities as Parents

Parents / Guardians / Sponsors should take note of the following to ensure that the learner has a positive and successful learning experience.  Make sure you are acquainted with:

  • The registration procedures and course start dates
  • Payment contract received during registration
  • Student Rulebook received during registration
  • Class times and practice times
  • Timetable and schedules the learner receives during the first two weeks of his/her course
  • Exam / Project / Practical dates of the learner
  • Re-write procedures, supplementary projects and penalty fees thereof
  • Certification
  • Graduation
